Why Odunlade Adekola And Femi Adebayo Are Close

What could have called for the rivalry between top Nollywood actors Odunlade Adekola and Femi Adebayo?

No doubt about it the two of them are the hottest male actors in Yoruba movie genre of Nollywood. There has always been a battle who clinch the best actor trophy between them year in year out.


While Femi Adebayo is the son of veteran actor Otunba Adebayo Salami popularly known as Oga Bello, Odunlade Adekola is the son of a Christ Apostolic Church pastor.

Femi grew up in Ebute Meta, Lagos while Odunlade grew up in Abeokuta, Ogun state.

Both started acting as a young boy. Femi because his father is an actor and Odunlade because his father was a pastor and as such put up drama during church activities even as a young boy aside combining it with drumming and singing during church programmes.

Both are brand ambassadors. While Odunlade is a Glo ambassador, Femi is Trophy ambassador.

They both have drama school. Femi owns J15 School of performing arts, Ibadan, Odunlade owns Odunlade Adekola School of performing arts, Abeokuta.

Odunlade and Femi are both playful when not on set.

Aside being talented and prolific role interpreters, both actors are good at playing comic roles.

And to cap it all both thespians are born on the same day! Femi though older was born on December 31, 1972 while Odunlade Adekola was born on December 31, 1978.

Both actors had a joint birthday celebration in 2012 when they hosted their friends together.
Despite all these the two birthday boys are good friends.
