Karen Igho Rakos, the happily married
former winner of the reality TV show, Big Brother Africa (BBA), and
mother of one, in an interview speaks on why she was one of the most
hated people on planet earth.
Speaking with the BBC, Karen Igho disclosed that while she was in the
Big Brother house she had no
idea that she was hated by so many around the world especially in Nigeria, for the kind of personality she had in the house.
Karen Igho said: “I was constantly being judged for the way I look, the clothes I wear. I was one of the most hated persons on the planet when I first went into Big Brother, because I have this very blunt personality. At that time, they haven’t seen somebody like me. She’s from Nigeria? Omg she is so ugly! Look at the way she is dressed.”
Addressing the issue of how she got to know about how people felt about her and the kind of person she truly is, Karen Igho said:
“When I came out that was when I saw everything and I watched it .I was like oh my god, people actually were saying this about me? As time goes by, they started realizing that I’m not about all what they see, that I have something in my heart that I am actually genuine and I’m real. And, they fell in love with me and I won. Why? Because they realize I have a good heart.”
On Saturday, December 23, 2014, Karen tied the knot to her man of nine years Jaroslav Rakos, in Nigeria and they welcomed their first baby, Samuel on Saturday, July 4, 2015, at Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital, New York.
